Hoddesdon is a lovely place to live and has two stations in easy reach, Broxbourne and Rye House Station with direct travel links to London's Liverpool Street, Tottenham Hale, Cambridge and Stansted Airport. There are lots of things to do for all the family within the local area, the famous Rye house where you can try Karting & Speed racing. A short drive away is Broxbourne's Paradise Wildlife Park, which offers animal experience days for a great day out, including animal encounters such as feed a big cat experience, shadow a zoo keeper.
The golfing enthusiast is being well catered for with some great courses in the area such as The Hertfordshire and Nazeing golf club. There are also numerous country walks, cycling paths and bridleways. You must visit the Lee valley boat centre where you can hire boats, bikes and canoes and have a picnic in the lovely surroundings.
Hoddesdon town centre is where you will find a lovely range of quaint shops and restaurants, with weekly markets; there is a yearly French market and Vintage car show and Carnival. You have also Rye Mead bird sanctuary and Barclay Park.
The Broxbourne Civic centre is where you can enjoy evening entertainment watching various live performances as well as watching up to date films. There is also Lowewood Museum which has historical information about Hoddesdon Town and whose building dates to the 1750s.
